Found a printable you love but don't know how to print it? In this blogpost we're sharing with you our best tips to make your digital downloads look as good as they do online. This little guide will work for downloads bought on our website but also for free or Etsy printables.
WHAT ARE PRINTABLES AND WHY ARE THEY SO POPULAR?
Printables are images that are in the form of digital downloads. Because they allow the companies who make them to save on printing cost, they usually charge you less for them (sometimes they're even free). They're also great if you're in a time crunch or need a last minute gift (delivery takes no more than 24 hours and is sometimes instantaneous, at least on our website) !
CHOOSE THE BEST PRINTING METHOD FOR YOU
To print your files, you can use 3 different methods:
1. Print from home (for files that are 8”x10” or smaller)
2. Upload your file to an online shop: we've been recommending PRINTS OF LOVE to our customers for years and they have never disappointed us ! This online print shop takes the hassle out of printing your designs. Not only do do they do an amazing job, they're also eco-responsible and plant a tree every time you place an order !
3. Email your file to a local print shop - like Staples or Costco
USE THE RIGHT TYPE OF PAPER
We recommend printing on matte paper, always.
If you plan on framing the sign, you can print it on cardstock paper (the thicker the better).
If you plan on placing it on an easel, we recommend mounting it to a material such as foam or polyester.
